Visit by Award Winning Author Sheena Wilkinson

Victoria College was delighted to host a visit from the award winning author and former pupil Sheena Wilkinson today.

Sheena gave an informative and entertaining presentation to all of years 8 and 9 on how and why she became a writer. As a pupil at Victoria College she had dreamed of becoming a writer and brought along examples of her early works, written during her time here. This clearly inspired many of our current pupils who were keen to ask questions and get signed copies of her books afterwards!

Sheena has had three books published so far: Taking Flight which won both the Bisto Honour Award for Writing and The Children's Choice Award at the Bisto Children's Book the Year Awards, Grounded, the sequel to Taking Flight and her latest book for younger readers, Too Many Ponies.
