Literature Quiz

On Thursday 13th November four pupils from Years 8 & 9 headed to Wellington College to take part in the Northern Ireland heat of the Kids’ Lit Quiz. This is the ninth year that heats have been held in Northern Ireland and nearly 30 teams took part, representing schools from across the province. Teams are asked to answer 100 questions on children's literature divided into ten categories, which vary each year. As ever, the questions were extremely difficult but the VCB team performed very well, winning one round outright and several spot prizes. Congratulations to Aisling, Abigail, Amelia and Chloe for doing so well. Sadly we couldn’t finish on top – Methodist College won the quiz and now travel to England in December to take part in the UK finals.
