The renowned Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland (CBOI) is offering one talented young soloist the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform with them at the world’s greatest music mecca…..Carnegie Hall, New York on the 30th October 2014.

In advance of their US tour, and to celebrate their incredible achievements over the past 20 years, the CBOI is launching a National talent search called The Soloist.

 The Soloist will give one young talented singer or musician the life-changing opportunity to perform with the orchestra at Carnegie Hall, New York on the 30th October 2014.

 The Prize for the winning soloist includes:

1.  The opportunity to perform with the CBOI at Carnegie Hall, New York.
2.  An all expenses paid trip to New York for the winner and chaperone (for under 18’s)
3.  €1,000 CASH PRIZE
4.  The opportunity to perform with the CBOI in up to 15 concerts at premier venues throughout Ireland and Northern Ireland in 2015.

The Soloist is open to:

1.  Amateur musicians /singers between the ages of 12 – 23 years from Ireland and Northern Ireland
2. Contestants must be SOLOISTS and can sing, play and instrument or dance.
3. Contestants can perform in any genre: Classical, Pop, Traditional, Jazz, Folk, Country, other.
