Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Gold Expedition - Morocco 2014

A selection of photos from the recent trip to Morocco which was the destination for this year’s Gold Expedition. As well as trekking through stunning valleys and high mountain passes in the Atlas Mountains the girls had the opportunity to experience life in a traditional Berber village for a few days. While living in the village the girls helped to build some much needed irrigation channels in the village which should help with the this year’s apple harvest. Time was also spent with the village children, playing games and helping the children with their English. A few days in Marrakech and in Essaouira, a beautiful coastal town, completed the adventure!
