International Visit - Miss Porter’s School, Connecticut

On Monday 12th of January 2015 twelve students from Miss Porter’s School, Connecticut, visited Victoria College as part of their Global Travel Initiative.  Students were invited to observe teaching in numerous subject areas and also completed a tour of the Preparatory Department.  This enabled pupils to compare and contrast school life in Northern Ireland and the United States of America.  As our visitors expressed an interest in traditional Irish games, Mr O'Brian invited the pupils to participate in an after school Camogie training session with pupils from Year 8 and 9.  At the end of the school day, the pupils voiced their disappointment that their time spent at Victoria College was too short.
