U14 Camógs Victorious against St. Dominic’s and Aquinas

The U14 camógs led by captain Harriet Bedi opened their 2015 season with an impressive performance in a recent blitz held at Aquinas Grammar School. Many of the girls were familiar with each other as they play for the same club team - the All Ireland Féile winning Bredagh team. Victoria College now has eight players involved in that squad. In their opening fixture they beat Aquinas by 7-5 to 5-0, with some spectacular points courtesy of Cate Blaney. Jodie Black was clinical in front of goal and Rebecca Bunn and Nicole Savage provided the necessary width.

A tenacious display in midfield by Sarah Hand and solid defending by Rachael McCormick and Keeva McAllister ensured a comfortable victory over St. Dominic's Grammar School. Despite an excellent performance against Our Lady and St. Patrick's, Knock, the width of the posts stood between us and a draw in the end. Having lost that match 2-2 to 2-1, we played a second match against out Knock rivals and this time a brilliant display by Anna McKee was enough to seal a victory for Knock by two scores.
