Health and Social Care pupils host Intergenerational Event

10 Double Award Health and Social Care pupils in year 13 have been involved in an intergenerational project with older people in residential care from North Belfast.

They have assisted in a T-dance in Grove leisure centre to celebrate St Patrick’s day and their second event was hosting a lunch. They held the lunch in the comfort of the drawing room in the boarding department where the older people enjoyed a tasty lunch and then were entertained by the talents of our pupils.

Jordan Gillespie and Brooklyn Dunseith sang solos, Dempsey Ramsey and Rebecca Mc Cullough read poetry and the highlight of this event was Caitlin Diver on the trumpet accompanied by Mrs Gilliland playing ‘Danny boy’ and the older people sang along.
