Amy Edwards selected for both Ulster U18 and U21

Congratulations to Amy Edwards for being selected on both Ulster teams this year – a great achievement.

She was playing for Ulster U18 in Loughborough from Thursday 1st to Sunday 4th September competing in the 2016 UK School Games.  Her team narrowly lost to Scotland in the first game 2-1, and beat England 1-0 to secure a place in the bronze medal match, missing out on the gold medal match by only one goal. They beat Wales 2-0in the bronze medal match. During the competition Amy  had the opportunity to meet Team GB hockey player and Olympic gold medalist Alex Danson.

This was the last time Amy will play for U18s as she now at a very young age has been selected for Ulster U21 team for the interpros in Donabate from Friday 9th to Sunday 11th September 2016.

We look forward to following Amy’s career in Ulster Hockey.
