Sarah Hand delivers speech at the Children's Law Centre

Sarah Hand, Year 13, gave a speech at the Children’s Law Centre, celebrating its twentieth anniversary. She was honoured to be invited to speak on behalf of the organization to a VIP audience which included Professor Ann Skelton, a leading South African lawyer and member of the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child, and a number of senior members of the judiciary and elected representatives.

Sarah who is a young advocate at the law centre is very committed in her work towards a society where all children can participate, are valued and have their voices heard. She is particularly concerned that  there is still not enough legal protection for children suffering mental health problems, or who have additional educational needs.
