VCB Camogie Update

The U16 camógs recently commenced their Ulster Championship campaign for 2017-18. Led ably by captain Marianne Doherty, the girls played very well against Assumption Grammar School, Ballynahinch in their opening match but the result was never in doubt as the opposition team was packed with club and county players from Liatroim Fontenoys, Castlewellan, Ballygalget and other strong clubs. Our second match against St Dominic’s proved to be a much tighter affair. The Bredagh GAC girls provided a strong spine as exemplified by player of the match Katherine Ward.

The squad now look forward to the County Championship.
