Rowing Success

Year 12 pupil, Megan McGillin, competed in the Women’s J18A 1X scull race in the Lagan Scullers Head on Saturday 17 February and won this category with a comfortable 15 second lead on her opponents. This was Megan’s first scull win and this achievement is even more commendable as Megan only took up this sport less than a year ago.

Both Megan and another Year 12 VCB pupil, Lucy McCoy, attended an Ireland Rowing Training Camp in Cork on 3 February in preparation for March final selection of home teams.
