VCB wins Top Prizes at Local Music Festivals

Some of the College singing students have won top prizes recently at local music festivals.  Second prize winners in the 11&12 year class at Mossgrove Youth Festival were Lauren Toner and Emily Darling. In the Junior Folk Class Amelia Rose was placed 2nd and Hannah-Rose Glover won 3rd prize. Hannah- Rose Glover also came 2nd in the Sacred Solo (U17class) and 1st prize in the set class for her age group. Chloe Chestnutt was awarded 2nd prize in the 13 & 14 year class.

At Carrickfergus Festival, Emily Darling won 1st prize in the set class for 11 & 12 years. Hannah-Rose Glover was placed 1st and Amelia Rose 2nd in the set class for their age group. Amelia Rose won 1st prize in the Folk Song Class. Katie Kerr and Kirsten Matthews were placed 2nd and 3rd respectively in the Musical Theatre class. Amelia Rose and Rachael McCormack won the musical duet class.

Congratulations to all the girls who competed.

The Victoria College flute ensemble were placed 2nd in the Under 19 woodwind ensemble class.
