Renowned artist Colin Davidson visits Victoria College

Hot on the heels of his successful exhibition ‘Silent Testimony’ at the Ulster Museum (currently in Paris), and much to the excitement of a number of sixth form students, the famous artist Colin Davidson visited Victoria College Belfast in February 2016.  Whilst here he spoke to students about the journey he had taken to become an artist as well as advising them on forging careers in the arts.  He drew upon what inspired him as an artist and the thought processes behind his work.  Students were both inspired by the detail of his work as well as moved by the sensitivity with which he had dealt with some of his more poignant collections.   His enthusiasm and passion for his subject will hopefully continue to inspire our students as many of them embark on their own artistic journey.
