'The Sound of Music' Production November 2016

We are delighted to announce that this year’s school production in collaboration with RBAI will be The Sound of Music from Wednesday 9 to Friday 11 November 2016.

Mrs McMichael from RBAI will be directing the show with Mrs Gillian as Musical Director and Mrs Murray as Producer.  Rehearsals will commence at the beginning of September.

Please note should your son/daughter wish to become involved in the production he/she must be available to attend rehearsals on a Thursday evening from 3.30 to 6.00 pm and on a Saturday afternoon from 1.00 to 5.00 pm. A rehearsal schedule will follow once casting has taken place.

Auditions are open to any pupil in Years 11 to 14 (next academic year).

Audition times have been scheduled as follows in the Cranmore Assembly Hall in Victoria College:

For Principal roles only: Tuesday 30 August 1.00- 4.00 pm

Other roles and chorus: Thursday 1 September 3.30 – 6.00 pm

Please note if your son/daughter is auditioning for one of the principal roles below the audition piece must be performed from memory. Scripts will be available on the day.

For other roles and chorus parts all girls will be expected to sing My Favourite Things as their audition piece. All boys will be expected to sing Edelweiss.

Audition dates and times must be adhered to and if your son/daughter cannot make the audition time you must contact Mrs Murray either by telephone or in writing.

Please note if your son/daughter is selected the first rehearsal will take place on Saturday 3 September at 1.00 pm until 5.00 pm.
