Ready Steady Cook!

The Food and Nutrition department were delighted to welcome a team from the Royal Navy on Friday 24th February. The Year 11 Food and Nutrition GCSE students took part in a Ready Steady Cook challenge, working in teams to make Cornish Pasties and Sticky Toffee Pudding. They also had the chance to learn how to do sugar work including spun sugar and sugar cages for presentation. The pupils worked with enthusiasm and presented their dishes for judging after 1 hour 20 minutes. The results were outstanding as can be seen by the photos. Thanks to Jason, Robyn and Harry for a great session where pupils could develop their practical skills and find out more about the career opportunities in the Royal Navy.
