Equestrian news

In April 2022 Jennifer Thursfield (Y8), Jennifer Tate (Y9), Jessica Byrne (Y11), and Olivia Byrne (Y13) took part in the Northern Ireland and Scotland Barrier Animal Health Pony Club Spring Festival, held in Morris Equestrian in Scotland. Over 300 competitors for the Northern Irish and Scottish Pony Club branches participated. 

Jennifer Thursfield, representing the North Down Branch, competed in the Novice Dressage Championship and after winning her section went on to place 8th overall in the Championship. 

Jennifer Tate, representing the Iveagh Branch, Jessica, and Olivia, representing the North Down Branch, all competed in the Arena Eventing Championships in the 70s, 80s, and 90s classes respectively. Jennifer finished 8th overall and Jessica 6th overall in their Championship classes. 

It was an amazing experience for them and they are all looking forward to the next opportunity to compete.
