Boston Ski Trip 2018

The Boston Ski Trip 2018 was enjoyed by 69 pupils. The long journey was enjoyable with in flight movies and a scenic drive into the mountains of New Hampshire.

During the week the group benefited from four-hour ski-lessons which, were split in half by a lunch break in the Governor's Lodge, where our resident faithful first aider Ms Guiney was situated. The snow was plentiful and beautiful lying on wide slopes for us to enjoy. By the end of the week all our beginner skiers were able to go high into the American blue slopes on the chair lift and gondola. Some of the pupils progressed so quickly they ended up skiing with the intermediate skiers. The girls who had skied before spent time working on parallel turns and carving and the teachers found it difficult to keep up with their speed!

In terms of accommodation, The Loon Mountain Resort was nothing short of amazing with the buffet breakfasts and dinners and needless to say, their wellness centre with hot tub and Jacuzzi was thoroughly enjoyed.

The zip-line course over the Pemigewasset River was also thoroughly enjoyed in the dark. The teachers hosted a quiz night. One of the trip highlights was the good laugh we had at the teacher’s talent show performance of Abba’s Mama Mia! No wonder they would not allow the phones on that evening!

Overall, a remarkable trip which, much to everyone's excitement was top and tailed by some additional shopping in Tilton Outlet, Walmart and Quincey market in Boston.
